What's changed
From summer 2021 Politics Trove has a revised design, with improved accessibility features for impaired users and mobile-responsive design for a better experience on phones and tablets.
You can find most of the site’s features in the same places as before, but a few things have changed. If you have questions, contact us or visit our help page for information.
Navigation
The table of contents on chapter pages will stay visible as you scroll down the page, and your position in the article will be indicated by bold type. Nested subsections can be expanded and collapsed by clicking or tapping the small triangles at the left.
Figures and table display
Figures and tables can be opened in a new browser tab and will automatically display at their full size, tables will be dynamically sized so all columns fit in your window (although some wider tables will not fit on small screens). Use the figures in your work from here, there is no longer an option to download in PowerPoint.
Subject searches
When selecting the subject you are interested in from the top menu bar, you’ll be presented with an alphabetical list of all results in that subject area. Choose to switch the presentation of results between chapters or books by ticking the option in the left menu and update.
Author affiliation
Authors’ institutional affiliations previously displayed at top of the book and chapter page in a grey box. Now, they display when you tap or click on the author’s name.
Related links
Instead of displaying in the left sidebar, related links, such as links out to online study resources, now appear at the foot of articles.
